Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 09/05/2026
Welcome to EGR Body Shop. These Terms & Conditions explain how we provide our vehicle body repair, paintwork and related services. By requesting a quotation, booking work, accepting an estimate, or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Quotations and Estimates
Any quotation or estimate provided by EGR Body Shop is based on the information available at the time of inspection or from details supplied by the customer.
Quotes may change if:
-
Additional damage is found after the vehicle is stripped or inspected further.
-
Extra parts, materials, or labour are required.
-
The customer requests additional work.
-
Parts prices change before the work is confirmed.
We will inform the customer of any significant additional costs before carrying out extra work, unless urgent action is required to protect the vehicle or prevent further damage.
Payment Terms
2. Payment is due once the repair work is completed and before the vehicle is released, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept payment by:
-
Bank transfer
-
Cash
-
Card payment, where available
-
Other agreed methods
The vehicle will not be released until payment has been received in full.
If payment is delayed, EGR Body Shop may charge reasonable storage fees after notifying the customer.
2a. Cancellation
Customers should notify us as soon as possible if they wish to cancel a booking.
If the customer arranged the service online, by phone, or away from our business premises, they may have a 14-day cooling-off period under UK consumer rules. However, if the customer asks us to start work during this period, they may need to pay for work already completed or costs already incurred.
If the vehicle has already been worked on, dismantled, painted, repaired, or parts have been ordered, cancellation may not be possible without charges.
2b.Warranty on Repairs
EGR Body Shop may provide a warranty on certain repair work, depending on the type of repair carried out.
The warranty does not cover:
-
Normal wear and tear
-
Damage caused by accidents after collection
-
Misuse or neglect
-
Rust or corrosion not caused by our repair
-
Pre-existing damage
-
Customer-supplied parts
-
Repairs carried out by another garage after our work
-
Stone chips, scratches, or new impact damage
Any warranty claim must be reported to us as soon as the issue is noticed.

3. Booking and Vehicle Drop-Off
Customers are responsible for ensuring the vehicle is delivered to us at the agreed date and time.

We may use new, used, aftermarket, pattern, or manufacturer-approved parts depending on availability, cost, customer preference, and the nature of the repair.
Where possible, we will discuss part options with the customer before ordering. Some parts may require advance payment before ordering, especially special-order or non-returnable parts.

We will always try to complete repairs within the estimated timescale. However, completion dates are estimates only and may be affected by:
-
Parts delays
-
Insurance approval delays
-
Additional damage found during repair
-
Paint curing time
-
Supplier issues
-

We will take reasonable care of the customer’s vehicle while it is in our possession.
EGR Body Shop is not liable for:

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
7. Complaints
If the customer is unhappy with any part of our service, they should contact us as soon as possible.
We will review the complaint and aim to resolve the issue fairly. Consumer contracts should be fair and transparent, and UK guidance encourages businesses to use clear and fair terms with customers.
